The EM424 is a practical telecom & network installation, maintenance and troubleshooting tool for identification network ports and cables, and verifies active connections to the far-end of cable.
The EM424 has unique feature of display signals from network hub/switch/NIC at far and end of cable on easy-to-read LED, and will flashes the port indicator to assist locating a single cabling link in a busy wiring closet, and enhance talk battery power supply to allow communication over inactive pairs, using telephone test sets. It provides two selectable tones which allow you to trace cable and locate faults, for troubleshooting both voice and data circuits. It also tests cable continuity; tests Line 1, Line 2 polarity and can determine line polarity and voltage in data and voice lines.
